1. Who we are

StyleVault is operated by Style Vault. Style Vault is the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this notice.

2. Personal data we collect

• Account data — name, email address, hashed password or federated sign-in identifier.
• Wardrobe content — photos of clothing you upload, tags, notes, planned outfits.
• Usage & device data — pages viewed, features used, approximate location derived from IP, browser and device identifiers, log timestamps.
• Support communications — messages you send to us.

Payment information (card details, billing address) is collected and processed by our Merchant of Record, Paddle, and is not stored by StyleVault.

3. How we use your data

• To create and operate your account and deliver the StyleVault service — legal basis: performance of contract.
• To generate AI-assisted tags, outfit suggestions and stylist responses — legal basis: performance of contract.
• To keep the service secure and prevent fraud or abuse — legal basis: legitimate interests.
• To improve product quality, reliability and performance — legal basis: legitimate interests.
• To provide customer support — legal basis: performance of contract.
• To send transactional emails (receipts, service notices) — legal basis: performance of contract / legal obligation.
• To send optional marketing where you have opted in — legal basis: consent.

4. Who we share data with

• Service providers — hosting, database, storage, email delivery and analytics vendors that process data on our behalf under written agreements.
• AI providers — the AI models that power tagging, outfit suggestions and the stylist assistant. Uploaded content and prompts may be transmitted to these providers for processing.
• Merchant of Record — Paddle, for payment processing, invoicing, tax compliance and subscription management.
• Professional advisers — legal, accounting and compliance advisers, where necessary.
• Authorities — where required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety.

5. International transfers

Some of our service providers are located outside your country of residence, including in the United States. Where personal data is transferred internationally we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions.

6. Data retention

We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed we delete or anonymize it.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, to withdraw consent, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise these rights email Style Vault at support@stylevault.app. We aim to respond within one month.

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, access controls, and hardened cloud infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Cookies

StyleVault uses cookies and similar technologies that are strictly necessary to authenticate you and keep the service running. Where we use optional analytics or marketing cookies, we ask for your consent and you can change your preferences at any time.

10. Children

StyleVault is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

11. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted in the service or by email.
